ANBID - National Association of Investment Banks (Associacao Nacional dos Bancos de Investimento) is the principal representative of the financial institutions operating in the Brazilian capital markets. The Association's aim is to strengthen the domestic capital markets as an instrument for fostering Brazilian development.
ANBID, as the sole representative of its class, operates in an innovative manner by not only representing the interests of its members, but also acting as a vehicle for self-regulating their activities by adopting standards which are normally more rigid than those required by the legislation.
