The National Depository for Securities (KDPW) was founded
in 1991 as an integral part of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Since 1994, it has operated as an independent joint stock
company. The founders of the Polish capital market decided at
the time of its creation that securities trading in Poland would
be fully dematerialised.
